To start the incorporation process, click ‘Add Company” and choose ‘Form a new company’, selecting Cayman Islands as the jurisdiction. Once you have reviewed and agreed to the requirements you will be prompted to add the company name and shareholder and director information.
Next you will be prompted to pay the incorporation fee by credit card.
Once you have paid, you will need to fill out the personal information for the individuals who will be the shareholders and directors of the company you are forming. Click here to review what KYC documents you will need to have ready for.
The Clara team will review your submission and come back to you with any points requiring clarification or with the draft incorporation suite. This usually takes 24 - 48 hours.
The incorporation documents will be sent by DocuSign for electronic signature by the shareholders, directors, and Clara.
Clara then completes the incorporation application and submits it to the Cayman registrar for review. The Cayman Islands review timeline is normally between 5 to 7 business days from submission. We will update you once the application has been approved.
The application will be approved and you will receive a digital welcome pack with the Company's certificate of incorporation and key constitutional documents. You can also access the documents via your Clara profile at any time.
The timeline depends on you having the correct information and documents ready to complete the personal information for the directors and shareholders.
Be sure to contact Clara if any changes are required once your Cayman holding company has been formed (including changes to the personal details of the shareholders and directors). Otherwise, Clara will contact you before the expiry of the current commercial licence to initiate the renewal process. All companies in Cayman renew on the 31st of December regardless of when they were incorporated.
