What is a certificate of incumbency?
Updated over 2 years ago

A certificate of incumbency is a document that lists key information about the company, such as:

  • The company's name and registration number

  • The date of incorporation

  • The company’s registered office address

  • The directors and officers of the company

  • The shareholders and shareholding of each shareholder.

In some jurisdictions, the certificate will be prepared by the Company Service Provider managing the company. In other jurisdictions, the certificate is issued by the Company Registration Authority.
