How do I convert a convertible note into shares on my cap table?

You can convert a convertible note into shares via the Equity tab at app.clara.co.

The terms of the conversion will be pre-agreed with the owner of the convertible note. You will need this information to complete this task.​

1. Click on Convertibles

2. Choose the convertible note you want to convert

3. Click on Manage

4. Select 'Convert'

5. Select the conversion date

6. Select share class you want to convert this note into.

Your share classes should already be set up, you can manage the classes via the 'Share classes' tab.

7. Fill in the number of shares and price paid for each one.

8. Click Save

Click Save

9. Publish the transaction

This action will be saved as a draft in the Transactions section. Make sure you review and publish the transaction so that your cap table updates.
