Operating companies and tech startups must have an office space on Al Maryah Island before ADGM will issue their commercial licence. An ADGM SPV does not need to take their own physical office space and can use the registered office address of their company service provider.

The minimum office space requirement for an operating company and tech startup is one allocated desk space.

If your operating company or tech startup will require visas, the number of visas is linked with the desk or office space you have obtained. For tech startup licences, you are permitted to take 3 visas per desk or 1 visa per 8qm office space. For non-financial operating companies, you are permitted to take 2 visas per desk or 1 visa per 8 sqm office space.
