A certificate of good standing is a document that shows that a company is currently registered and is up to date on all document submissions and account duties. It is a document that is obtained from the Registration Authority in the country that the company is registered and is typically requested by banks or foreign organisations to provide comfort that the Company it is dealing with is a legitimate, registered entity that is in good standing with its regulatory obligations.
