My company will have a corporate shareholder. What information and documents need to be provided?

For a corporate entity, KYC information and documents includes:

  • Certificate of incorporation / registration and Articles of Association

  • Current commercial or trade licence (where appropriate) or Certificate of Good Standing

  • Current dated (current dated means that it is dated within the last 2 months) register of Directors and Shareholders or a current dated certificate of incumbency showing directors, shareholders and shareholding

  • The KYC for each Director (see KYC list for Individuals below)

  • The KYC for each shareholder with 25% ownership in the entity

  • Source of wealth and funds information

  • PEP declaration

For an individual, KYC information and documents includes:

  • Passport copy (if the individual has a passport from another country (nor or previously) we will need copies of both. The passport copy should include the signature page as well as the photo page if they are separate. For Indian nationals, the copy must include the family page and for UAE Nationals, it needs to include the UID sticker.)

  • Residential address and current dated1 proof of address (typically a utility bill)

  • Residence Visa / National ID Card (if applicable)

  • Emirates ID Card (if applicable)

  • Occupation details and CV

  • Contact details including phone number and email address

  • Source of wealth and funds information

  • PEP declaration

All KYC must be provided in English or in its original language with a legal translation attached.
